La Festa Mille Mille Miglia 2014

Objectives

This year is the 18th annual La Festa Mille Miglia classic sports car festival, first established in 1997. While the ever-decreasing birthrate and aging society are issues of concern in Japan, the so-called "middle-aged men" and sprightly, cheerful women come together to compete in this yearly rally.
These youthful, fun-loving people have never stopped chasing their dreams; they are truly forever young at heart.

The rally this year takes place in the Kanto-Koshin'etsu region, covering 1,300 km in four days. Participating automobiles are antiques produced between 1919 and 1967; while there is no guarantee that the vehicles will finish the race, they symbolize one’s unique lifestyle.
Perhaps you, too, have forgotten the racing of your heart that you felt as a child? Maybe it's not a bad idea to go back to being a child once a year.
