【Awarding Ceremony】20 Oct 2015
The winner is Mr. and Mrs. Takemoto. Won their seventh consecutive title!
La Festa Mille Miglia which kicked off on October 16 came to an end on 20th. The winner is Mr. and Mrs. Takemoto. They won La Festa Mille Miglia amazingly seven years in a row.
The winner of the approximate 1,200-kilometer race in total that covered one metropolitan and seven prefectures is Mr. and Mrs. Takemoto, who has won domestic historic car races with their overwhelming strength, also, actively participated in the Mille Miglia held in its home-country Italy. However, it was expected that this year's race would be an uphill battle for them. It is because that many higher-ranking winners of the Mille Miglia participated in this race.
The rally was competed in PC competition ( a time measurement competition, for example, drive 50 meters in 10 seconds ), CO ( a competition to pass through the designated point within the designated time given to each participating vehicle ), and stamp points ( you must pass through those points properly ).
As a result, the second, third and fourth places went to each regular team of the Mille Miglia and the fifth place was Yokota and Oki's team.
The winner, Mr. and Mrs. Takemoto, said, "We couldn't participate in this year's Mille Miglia due to a car problem, so we wanted to participate in La Festa Mille Miglia. We were really nervous because many competitors took part in this race from overseas. Now, we are very happy to be able to win." Also, they commented, "Many teams came to Japan from overseas for this event so we are thinking to challenge the Mille Miglia in Italy next year. We want the Japanese entrants of this event to challenge it with us."
A special program that features La Festa Mille Miglia and the International Bugatti Meeting held in the previous week is scheduled to be broadcast at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 26 and Sunday, December 27 on the BS Fuji, navigated by Yoko Yamamoto, an actress, and Kenji Kawabata.
La Festa Mille Miglia 2016 is scheduled to be held from October 14 next year.
